All attempts by the developers to present the official Performance Investment Pte Ltd website as a resource of a regulated broker have failed. A company that operates under a license and values its reputation would not launch something so poorly executed. Judge for yourself:

  • The company’s representatives have no idea which organization regulates their activities. On the homepage, in the “Quickly About Us” section, SVGFSA (the Financial Services Authority of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) is mentioned as the regulator. However, in the Terms & Conditions, the regulator is listed as the SGP Business Company Register (Singapore), which has no connection to the regulation of brokers/dealers and similar services.
  • Trading conditions are not disclosed. The only information we found on this website was the maximum leverage, and even that isn’t specified for all markets.
  • In the “Contact Us” section, the broker claims to have received numerous industry awards and honors. They even mention the names of some of them but fail to specify the years when these remarkable achievements occurred. Either modesty got the better of them, or they feared that verification would show the company has nothing to do with these prestigious trophies.
  • In the “For Investor” section of the Personal Account, the only content is a TradingView widget with Forex pair quotes. We couldn’t figure out how it benefits investors or why the company neglected to include more useful materials.
  • Only cryptocurrency transfers are accepted for deposits. Accordingly, the AML Policy published on the website is essentially meaningless.

And these are just the problems that even an inexperienced trader would notice. In our opinion, there are too many issues for a site that only has six pages and no clear registration/authorization forms or downloadable PDFs. This demonstrates how “thoroughly” the Performance Investment Pte Ltd team approached the development of the website — or rather, how unnecessary it was to them, created solely to establish an online presence.

Our Trading Experience With Performance Investment Pte Ltd

The broker has the fewest issues with its trading terminal. Traders are provided with the Sirix platform, developed by Leverate. The only question for Performance Investment Pte Ltd is why they don’t name the software creators and instead try to pass this product off as their own. However, this is a matter of agreement between the two companies and is of little interest to us.

Performance Investment Pte Ltd - trading platform

Don’t let the unattractive interface fool you; in reality, it includes almost everything a trader needs. It even allows you to display up to four price charts simultaneously and provides trading signals.

However, it’s not capable of competing with the best trading software:

  • The range of technical indicators is limited, reducing the user’s ability to conduct technical analysis and build effective trading systems.
  • The list of graphical tools is also not extensive.
  • While it’s larger than most scam platforms, it falls significantly short compared to leading trading software.
  • No programming language, API, or similar functionality is available to develop or connect custom indicators or automated trading tools.
  • The trading server’s administration has direct access to the price flow and can adjust it at their discretion. This particular feature draws much criticism from traders but works to the advantage of brokers operating under the DD model.

However, choosing this terminal is not the strangest decision Performance Investment Pte Ltd has made. For example, we, as potential clients, are far more interested in why the company does not disclose its trading conditions.

On the account types page, you’ll find only a list of accounts and some additional perks:

  • Access to webinars.
  • An individual investment plan.
  • Bonus amounts, etc.

However, the most critical information, such as the minimum deposit for each account, maximum leverage, spreads, and swaps, is missing. This practice has long become standard for scam brokers. Traders are forced to figure out trading conditions themselves in the terminal, losing money in the process. Another option for such a broker is Groshare Limited. You can read a review of it here.

Some information can still be found on the website. For example, the homepage mentions a minimum deposit of $250 and maximum leverage of 1:500. This is confirmed on the Product Overview page, which states that such leverage can be used for trading currency pairs and indices.

Other details, according to Performance Investment Pte Ltd, traders simply don’t deserve to know. From our perspective, the company doesn’t deserve traders’ trust. The facts above are far from the strongest evidence against it.

The Reality Check

Not all traders are convinced by the evidence presented above that Performance Investment Pte Ltd is a scam. However, we have yet to examine the broker’s official data.

Let’s start with registration and regulation. The company has left a wide scope for interpretation on its website:

  • On the homepage, it states that its activities are regulated by SVGFSA (the Financial Services Authority of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines).
  • The Terms & Conditions list the head office address in Singapore and claim that the company operates under the SGP Business Company Register.
  • The Contact Us page provides a support phone number in Edinburgh, UK.

Our checks revealed that the Singapore business register does indeed list a company called Performance Investment Pte Ltd. However, this is merely a registration and does not constitute regulatory authorization.

Performance Investment Pte Ltd - in Singapore regitry

Registered in April 1972, the company has been operating for over 53 years. Its primary activity is financial services (excluding insurance and pension funds), and its secondary activity is brokerage/dealer services on the international currency market.

At first glance, what could be better than an investment and/or brokerage firm with extensive market experience? However, it turns out that this broker has no connection to that firm whatsoever.

First, it’s not the only one to have tried exploiting the name of an existing company. On its page, the aggregator sgpbusiness.com and others have issued warnings that the site performanceinvestpte.com is not the official website of the company and has been associated with fraudulent activity. Now, another “official website,” investment-pte.com, has emerged, also using the real investment firm’s name to cover its illegal operations.

Second, listing brokerage/dealer services on the Forex/CFD market in a business profile is far from sufficient. For legitimate operations in this field, a license is mandatory. However, the real company has not obtained such a license from the local financial regulator, MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore), in its 52 years since registration. Furthermore, the organization the broker claims regulates it (SGP Business Company Register) does not even exist.

Performance Investment Pte Ltd is also absent from the SVGFSA registry, even though the broker references it on its homepage. Nor has it obtained a license from the UK’s FCA regulator.

Ultimately, what we see is a virtual company not registered in any jurisdiction. To make its operations appear legitimate, it uses the name of a real Singaporean firm, but it does not (and cannot) hold any licenses from financial regulators. In reality, the broker Performance Investment Pte Ltd does not exist. The scammers merely collect funds from inexperienced traders with no intention of ever returning them.

How Long Has Performance Investment Pte Ltd Been in the Game?

Additional evidence supporting our conclusions comes from information about the broker’s duration of operation. While the broker itself does not publish the date of its establishment, it’s not difficult to find. All it takes is a Whois lookup to retrieve the domain registration date.

Domain

The information shows that the domain investment-pte.com was registered only in August 2024, meaning the company has existed online for just over three months. Naturally, this is exactly how a firm supposedly registered over 50 years ago would act: wait all that time before launching its website in the summer of 2024.

On a serious note, this is a fake broker that appeared approximately three months ago, found details about a legitimate investment firm, and appropriated its name. It then used that name to create a website and began collecting money from inexperienced traders. Of course, it conducts no actual trading and happily pockets any funds sent its way.

Extra Fraud Indicators

We have no doubt that Performance Investment Pte Ltd is a scam broker created to steal money from unsuspecting clients. However, the pseudo-company misleads traders not only on its official website.

Take a look at reviews about the platform, for example, on Trustpilot. There are 172 comments (almost one for every day of its existence), with over 90% being positive. Reading through them, it becomes clear that the authors are paid by the fake broker. Despite the lack of anything to praise, they describe the company as wonderful without providing specific details.

We are well aware of scammers’ ability to buy positive reviews. However, even on Trustpilot, 10% of the reviews are genuine, calling the platform fraudulent and warning that retrieving money is impossible. This view is also shared by experts on industry portals who describe the methods used by the scam broker in their reviews. They recommend avoiding any dealings with Performance Investment Pte Ltd, and we fully agree.

The last thing that we would like to mention happened right while creating this review. The official website of Performance Investment Pte Ltd suddenly became unavailable, as if the IP address linked to it no longer existed. To be honest, we are already tired of this practice of scammers, which has been strangely spreading lately.

However, we have discovered a backup website, https://investment-pte.org/. We say “backup” because it was also registered on August 6, 2024, showing the foresight of the creators. No useful information was found in the domain name records (everything is edited or closed by CloudFlare), but we noticed a truly brilliant detail. The fact is that the mail server of this website is registered to a person named Ivanov Vitaliy Sergeevich. Sounds like something Russian or so, doesn’t it? Either way, it certainly doesn’t look like it’s of Singaporean origin.

Is Performance Investment Pte Ltd the Right Fit?

We hope that after reading our Performance Investment Pte Ltd review, there’s no doubt that trusting this pseudo-broker with your money is a huge risk. It operates without registering a company, hiding behind the name of a legitimate Singaporean firm that has been around for over 50 years. Naturally, it lacks a license, making its operations completely illegal. Add to this undisclosed trading conditions, cryptocurrency-only deposits, fake positive reviews, and you have a complete picture of this scam platform.

2 client reviews for Performance Investment Pte Ltd

Friends, take my word… steer clear of this fraudulent platform! Performance Investment Pte Ltd is an empty shell created by scammers, with no actual brokerage operations. I deeply regret registering and investing my money here. They skillfully apply psychological pressure and put on a cheap trading act, making it hard to realize what’s happening at first. By the time I understood, it was too late… $15,000 was gone forever. Please don’t make my mistakes.

I was looking for a broker offering quality training and support‌ – ‌Performance Investment Pte Ltd played on this. The company made big promises but delivered nothing. All the money I sent ended up with the scammers. Regulators refused to protect me because the company doesn’t actually exist and operates without legal documents.
